Smart Design with Wired and Wireless Connections
The G+ MIMO Wireless Router has a striking, vertical enclosure that is both handsome and space efficient. The two built-in external antennas provide a wireless range of 1,000 feet and easily cover an apartment or small office. Six LEDs for Power, Wired, Wireless, Modem, Security, and Internet lets you know the status of your network at a glance, making it easy to troubleshoot any problems.
Wireless G+ uses the same 802.11g technology as Wireless G but also includes an advanced MIMO (multiple input multiple output) antenna technology that increases both its speed and range. This makes G+ suitable for heavier Internet users who transmit large files.

In addition to surfing the Internet, checking emails, and chatting with friends, Wireless G+ provides enough bandwidth to transfer large photo and music files, and stream videos without waiting for them to buffer. You can also share networked peripherals such as a Wi-Fi printer, hard drives, and DVDs.
The router is compatible with all 802.11g wireless products and is backwards compatible with 802.11b networks. For maximum speed and range, Belkin’s G+ MIMO Wireless USB Adapter and Notebook Card are recommended.
In addition to Wireless G+, the router also has four 10/100 Ethernet ports at the back, giving you the option to plug in for a steady and secure, fast connection running at 100Mbps.
Thanks to the strong built-in security, including support for WPA, WPA2, Wi-Fi Protected Setup, and 64-and 128-bit WEP encryption, you will be protected from hackers and intruders trying to gain access to your sensitive files. Setting up security is simple, too: just push the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button located on the front of the router. The router also supports VPN for making secure connections between home and office.

Did a lot of confusing research on routers. I was at target one day and looked at what they had and had a choice between this and a much more expensive linksys. The employee at target told me that this would be great for my needs. Could not find much info on this particular one but decided to give it a try.
I am definitely not very computer literate, so this was a dream to connect. Just follow the easy directions and CD it supplies. I have an apple computer and vonage phone hooked to the back with ethernet connection (has 4 ports on the back). Then I also have a nintendo wii and sony ps3 that is connected wirelessly. All of these were a breeze to connect. No problems whatsoever. Please note I have not done any online gaming with the ps3 and probably won’t. Mainly want internet for updates and the shopping channels so have no idea about gaming lag times. For my purpose it is great. No problems with any connections so far. Hope this helps someone.

This router and software is VERY user friendly..
I had a bad experience with the new linksys(internal antenna model) and tried this Belkin..Very glad I tried this model..Setup was toooo easy(even the wireless security was a setup dream,,no talking to TEC Support)..This took me 10 mins to setup(with wireless security enabled) and most importantly ,,no dropped wireless signals even after 4 hours..
The linksys (internal antenna model) had to be constantly unpluged and repluged after 1 or two hours…
THIS BELKIN G+MIMO IS THE ONE!!!!
VERY Easy Setup!!!!!

I was looking at a lot of G routers and my decision came between the Linksys WRT54G2 and the Belkin G+ MIMO Wireless Router. I read some good reviews on the Linksys WRT54G2 but it seemed that people were happier with the Belkin G+ MIMO (I was constantly seeing 5 stars at this site and others). With the great reviews from users, G+MIMO feature and Belkin’s website that showed 1,000 feet range through 2 stories, I gave it a shot and was very happy that I did. My router is on the 2nd story all the way on the other side of the house and my laptop is downstairs on the opposite side and I am still getting a great signal through walls and mirrors. Don’t get just a G router… Get the Belkin G+ MIMO Router! It matters.

After much research, I purchased this specific “Belkin Wireless G+ MIMO 4-Port Router” on this very Amazon page. I was surprised when the box arrived with a router called “Belkin G+ Wireless Router” with no mention of the word MIMO. I was also surprised to find that both the photo on the box and the router itself have only ONE antenna (NOT TWO, as pictured on this page) which made me wonder if I’d been sent the wrong router (e.g. a plain old 29-dollar “Belkin Wireless G 4-Port Router” instead of the $49.99 G+ MIMO I’d ordered).
Turns out, the router I received is, yes indeed, the correct one. This is according to the model # on the invoice and router (F5D9231-4) and through the mfg. note inside the box, which reads: “Congratulations on purchasing your new Belkin G+ Wireless Router. We have enhanced our G+ MIMO line with this new router to included compatibility with the new N Technology…..”
I’m just passing this along so that buyers will not be as confused as I was — and, admittedly, still am — because, see, if you look elsewhere on Amazon and the internet, you will find that Belkin has yet another router called a Belkin Wireless G+ (or G-Plus), which has a different model # (F5D7231-4), a 3-1/2 star rating and a $34 to $59 price tag. Which is not to be confused with the plain old Belkin G Router model # F5D7234-4, which also has a 3-1/2 star rating, but cost between $29 to $39. Both of these routers have one antenna, just like mine.
I’m at least glad to know that I did receive the correct router, as ordered (model # F5D9231-4) even tho it has only one antenna and is no longer called a MIMO. Too, the Belkin folks assured me in their mfg. note that I will “enjoy this new router even more than our previous best-in-class G+ MIMO routers.”
So far, so good. It arrived quickly and was a breeze to hook up. I’ll certainly leave an updated review, once the router’s had time to prove itself worthy or not of praise.
In the meantime, if you’re comparison shopping for any of the Belkin “G” routers, be sure to include the model number in your searches.
