At what horsepower level in a 93 240sx automatic will I lose all traction when I step on the gas?

Question by nissans13racer: At what horsepower level in a 93 240sx automatic will I lose all traction when I step on the gas?
At what horsepower level in a 93 240sx automatic will I lose all traction when I step on the gas causing me just to spin my back tires at takeoff and go nowhere. I want to keep my hp level at a point where I can still take off quick without too much spinning. I am running street tires. Thank you.

The automatic transmission really soaks up those RPM and really makes the 240SX sluggish. You’ll need almost 200 hp to drift successfully. 240SX motors were originally Pick Up truck motors reliable fair low end torque but not much of that power ever makes it to the wheels. Once you get the power up in the motor the auto trans will suffer. Good Luck SR-20DET motor manual trans and ECM and J spec wiring harness upgrade in your future or a V-8 LS1 ?

At the start of a trip, a driver adjusts the absolute pressure in her tires?

Question by Marcel Graham: At the start of a trip, a driver adjusts the absolute pressure in her tires?
At the start of a trip, a driver adjusts the absolute pressure in her tires to be 2.81 105 Pa when the outdoor temperature is 283 K. At the end of the trip she measures the pressure to be 2.95 105 Pa. Ignoring the expansion of the tires, find the air temperature inside the tires at the end of the trip.

I recommend HyperPhysics.info for any and all physics problems.

A quick hyper physics search for ideal gas law gives:

The first link has the governing equations, the second has an online calculator.
